Ghost Towns

I came across these two web sites on a Ranger forum...very interesting and strange to say the least. It is very strange to see these towns, that not so long ago were home to thousands, just abandoned.

Here you go, there are entire sites devoted to them.

 

I have been to quite a few around here, just for giggles grins, and Sunday drives. They are eerie.

Pretty cool ghost town site, but the maps are a little off for WV. I was going to find some to go see, and the one that I do know where it is was said to been in an entirely different grid than it is really in. It was way off.

I agree with Elwood. The map for sites in Maryland is way off.

That's funny...I have never been to that site while at home. I've always looked at it while at work.

 

I never knew it had banjos.
