DRIVEWAY CERT

Contact [email protected] if you're needing a certificate. The current ones expire on 3/31/04 as well as all the other incentives. However, GM may run them again in April. I was going to get a new truck (8.1/Allison) but couldn't find any that met my specs on the lot or anywhere else. Had one of the certificates on the way but called it off so someone else could make use of it. Contact "Steve" at the e-mail address I included in this post. Worth a shot, he may send you one he may not. He actually is a member of a RV Message board and usually helps the members there when they are looking to buy. Shoot him an e-mail and see what you learn. Please do not contact him unless you are positive you are going to buy the truck, that's one of his rules as these certs are hard to come by. He just wants them to used and not left to expire.

Good luck.

Wingnut and 99GoldSilverado, I think I read something a while back about a GM in every driveway promo. Something about current GM owners and more discounts or something to that effect. :loser: I know, lots of help right. :troll:

guys i need a driveway certificate fast ordering dmax

Just a note if you are planning to use any earnings from a GM credit card.

I have a driveway certificate. Went to use it today. You cannot use it with your GM credit card earnings. The certif would have knocked off $1500. I had more than that in earnings so the certificate is useless. It was issued with my name already on itso I can't even give it to you. Sorry.

Paul.....The snafu on not being able to use GM card points is they

changed the cards a while back and you had to convert to the gm

Family Card and your points went to 1% instead of 5%

So if you have the regular GM Card ......your 5% points are not

allowed to be used on a Employee/Supplier/Special deal...........geo

Hey Guys check the website...You CAN use the points if you want. It is under"Most Freq Asked Questions". Unless I am reading it wrong....

I got screwed.

JRKRace is corrrect. I called the 800 number and confermed you can use the card points with the driveway certif. The redemption people have called the dealer to streighten him out. It probubly won't help me, cause I already signed the papers, but it may help someone else. That's what I get for believing the dealer.

The card is not useable on employee programs. The confusion comes because this offers the employee price but it is not an employee program. In fact it is ment to be used by non employees.

Gm in the drive way is not at employee price it is about 4 or 5% above it, and yes we can use our regular GM cards(black) towards the purchase price and our discounts, and rebates.

Paul.....Your dealer should be able to re-write the deal and include

your GM Card points........

Thats funny about being able to use the 5% on a "coupon"

purchase !

Heck, They made me turn in my old black card at 5% and FULL

point usage to a new GM Family First GM card at 1% and amt. limits.

The changes came about last Aug. I think............

Sure glad I used up all my points at 5% last June and got a new Caddy!

I couldn't use my old black card AND get GM Employee Deal together

after Aug.! ......geo

Hi, I am hopefully buying my new truck this week. I am in need of the GM inthedriveway discount to help me out. Is there anyone that might be able to hook me up with one of these. It appears that GM has extended the program.

Thanks for your help,

Rick Webster

    • My brother has an Escalade. The warranty has expired so he told his wife to go to the Valvoline quick lube he uses some times. They told her if her car was a 2020 and newer 6.2 engine they wouldn’t touch it. Hers is a 2019, so they did the oil change.
    • The oil filter has NOTHING To do with oil leak. GM sources parts from 1,000's of vendors and as with anything mass produced, flaws are unavoidable.    Putting a larger oil filter will do nothing but satisfy emotions. The OEM filter is designed for the engine and perfectly capable of handling the demands on the engine. Oversize oil filter could result in reduced flow and overall lower oil pressure.
    • You're better read than that Atlas. 😏   British science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke formulated three adages that are known as Clarke's three laws, of which the third law – that "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" – is the best known and most widely cited.   Stribeck and the pivotable Hersey Number isn't voodoo nor snake oil. That part is physics. It's what marketing and bean counters do with it that is snake oil and voodoo.    Stribeck is the relationship between Hersey and the Coefficient of Friction. Within the Hersey Equation if viscosity and viscosity is 'Dependent' on.......heat.......and.......viscosity index or the temperature to viscosity slope.    Specifically Hersey is the viscosity AT THE TEMPERATURE IN THAT LOCATION FOR THAT SLOPE.   Hydrodynamic lubrication exist when the film thickness in the location is 3X the Ra roughness of the surface. This is irrespective of the hardness of the substrate. To obtain that thickness X viscosity is required for Y velocity at Z load. That's a lot of moving parts. It is also impossible to maintain in an ICE but nearly possible with a turbine under constant load.    What does that mean? Error heavy and operate light. Wear is inevitable but the rate of wear and the milage obtainable are a function of prevailing conditions and HABITS. The only penalty is viscous drag and at fractions so low as to be well worth the effort. Double the life, half the manufacturing carbon foot print. Greed is the only impediment.    The materials generated by SwRI are the RESULT not an estimation or a hypothesis.    Don't delude yourself sir, EV's have as many pitfalls as ICE's. We just don't know what they are yet and it will take longer to sort as MARKETING and GREEDY CEO's have had more time to polish the turd they are selling.
    • You can always count on greed to prey on ignorance and stupidity.    Friend bought a 2019 Ford Flex and asked me about using Valvoline R&P 5W30 in it. Told him give the miles on it and the fact it wasn't yet using oil that it was a good plan. He uses a Valvoline quick change shop for his oil service.   First they tell him that isn't the oil the OEM recommends. He told them he didn't care what the OEM thought. Then they floated the, "But it will void your warranty"    His reply was it's a 2019, there is no warranty and informed them their knowledge of the law was lacking.    Then they tell him 'But it will ruin your motor"!.    Mine to ruin he says. Finally they give in and charge him 150% the semi-syn price    Point it the brainwash is so embedded that even the service industry is drunk on their swill. The public is right behind them. Echoing the same lies on every forum and media platform. If the end goal is indeed EV then I'd say that ship is about built.
