I spend too much...Do you?

Well after buying my X-terrain's from my local performance shop I got a letter in the mail saying I have surpased the $10K mark in spending at their shop! I get $300 worth of stuff from them, but I have to pay for labor if I need something installed. I've only put about $2K on my truck since last Feb, most of the other was on getting the original DZ302 for my 69 Z-28 rebuilt for $6K. Hopefully it will be running this summer!! Anyways, any ideas of what I could get now? Thinking about going with 4.56's with a PowerTrax no-slip setup. How much have you all put into your rides? Chris

10K, hmm, they should at least throw a little cake and some hats in with that $300.

Well most of the 10K was after I graduated college and got a job before starting dental school. In the last 2 years I've only spent a couple grand. Most of it X-mas $$. From now until I graduate, my wife and kid on the way gets the $$. Chris

He didn't get owned.

You have to dump some cash into them when you are running higher HP numbers, and not just doing a basic rebuild...And I would think that building 69 Z28 would qualify as a candidate for a higher than average HP motor.

Horsepower takes cabbage, and lots of it.

There is well over 30k in this motor....And it has to be gone through every year.

Im currently at $9000 and will hit $10,000 by the end of the month. Of course that is spent a number of different places and includes labor

In this case, "Owned" means that you got taken, ripped off, embarrassed, swindled, bamboozled, or just generally made to look like an retard.

I still say he wasn't owned, and if you have 6k in a set of heads, I would think that you saying he got owned would be the pot calling the kettle black.

The Darts in my post above, are some of the best they make, and they were only around 2500 (before port-n-polish).

lol Until he says what was done to the motor I call ownage if he has some aluminum heads and forged rotating assembly then no but for a mild rebuild owned!
