Custom Center Console

Purchased an 03 extended cab Z71 with the front bench seat/folddown armrest unit. Often wished I had gotten the bucket seats/center console combo. Am thinking of building a custom setup and was wondering if any has already done so, has pics, etc.? Thinking of just building a bridge from the cup holders (remove them) to the dash....

Salvage yards around here carry all the parts you would need for adding the console.

 

There are also a couple of accessory stores that sell aftermarket kits for adding a console.
