my new s-10 crew cab

I just picked up a 2001 s-10 crew cab.  I love it.  They realy loaded these little trucks up.  I traded in a 2wd s-10 so I realy want to get this thing off road.

Can any one give any words of advise befor I get this new truck dirty?

yea, Line-X is a good spray in liner.

First, get some mud flaps(if there isn't any already)

S-10's seem kick stuff up and dull the paint really easy if your going off road alot.

Before you go anywhere, know where your going. Right after i got my truck i decided to take this trail that i had no idea where it went. I almost got stuck, after it turned into a "bike path" rather quickly.

I doubt you'll have the same problem kicking up rocks that a ZR2 has because you aren't as wide but flaps would be a good idea anyway.

IMO,as soon as you can, ditch the tires because that's the first thing that will hold you back.

My truck came with BFG AT's and I switched to Goodyear MTR's and the difference is unreal.I'm not saying the BFG's are not a good tire but in mud, they don't perform as good as other tires because of the closed tread pattern.

For what you want,a set of BFG AT ko's would probably work great.

OK, I did'nt make it very long. I've had the truck for less than 24 hours and it's full of mud!!!!!!!!!!

I think the mud goes good with the green paint.

Theres alot of construction in my area, so I could'nt hold out. On my way home I passed a site that was just cleared a week ago or so. We had lots of rain last night so it was full of mud holes. It's Saturday no one is working so I drove the shoot out of the truck.

   This is a great truck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
