New Body Style Rear End in Old Style Truck

Will the rear end from a 2001 Model Z71 Pickup fit in a 1999 Z71 Tahoe (Old Body Style) I've found a rear end in an 01 Z71 with 4.11 gears and the Factory Disc brakes, I'd love to have both of those in the Tahoe Since I've got 35's and I'm just curious if it would bolt right in with no mods.... I'm not positive,but I think it should fit....BUT do you have 4.11's in the front axle(if 4wd)?......you could always take measurements of your axle and compare (overall width,sping pad placement,etc...)

You will have to change the shock mounting brackets at least, since they mount differently on OBS vs. NBS. Not sure if the spring mounting plates are the same, but I think they are. Be aware that with a NBS brake set-up you will have to run 16" or larger wheels.

There are also 2 different rear brake configs on the NBS trucks, Tahoes have larger brakes on the rear. So check everything out before you committ.
