K&N air intake kit (FIPK)...

I'm interested in putting one of these on my 97' 4.3L Blazer.  I'd like to get the Generation II kit.

Does anyone out there use one of these, and are they worth the money?

Thx

i just put one on my sonoma, and it has a 2.2, i didnt notice much power gain, but a lot more throttle respone.   you could save about 100 bucks and get an airaid, they just replace the filter and a short peice of the intake tube, or go full-out and get the k&n.

You will most likely not see 26 HP out of that mod.

I have one on my truck and though the performance gain is somewhat noticeable I doubt it was 26 horses.

It's definitely worth the money if you want gains but want to remain pollution legal because the K&N is CARB exempt.

So how about installation?  I'm pretty handy with a wrench, and it doesn't look like it would be difficult to install at all.

Just wondering if anyone ran into any snags or has any tips.

Took a little under an hour to do taking my time.

the instructions aren't all that great but it's no big deal really.

One thing though, make sure you keep an eye on the clamps because some of my ZR2 bros have had them come loose.Check the fit on a regular basis.
