Got a Question

I'm new to the site and I have a question for some of you pros.I recently purchased a 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 4.8 Ext. Cab 4X4.I wanted to get a 2500HD but I just couldn't afford it.Although I love the truck, I was much more attracted to the HD front fascia as it looked more aggresive.I noticed that the only difference between the 1500 and the HD's grille is a black spacer that is wedged between the bumper and the grille,which gives it a larger look.

My question is this;If I were to obtain one of these black spacers (and maybe drill some different holes on the chassis support for the spacer's offset)could I actually make my front fascia into an HD?

Just wondering . . .

I know the addition of the HD hood was possible with no modification to the 99-02 trucks...not sure about 03+ though...it's a whole new ballgame.
