Well it looks like I'll be getting a grill guard for my truck soon.  Not sure yet if I just want the piece for the grill or the lights yet.  What are some good brands?  Anyone have any pics or advice for me?  Most likely I'll be mounting Jon's (chevy4x4trucks) old lights on it.

Thanks

Ryan I take it yours is pretty much the same thing that Jon had, correct?  How much did that cost you?  You still have your tow hooks correct?

same exact one.  Tow hooks are still there on mine

Joe, it may differ on yours as far ask keeping your tow hooks so be sure to check that out.  But that's a GoRhino Brushbar and like Ryan said it holds up well and looks great.  Looking on truckperformance.com they make the GoRhino one for your blazer for about 400 bucks.

check out this link and you can see the various types of bars for your truck.  It pretty much comes down to how much money you want to spend on it.  Remember that most of them you can buy the center piece and get the hoops later on, so if you don't want to drop a lot of dough you could do it that way.  Keep me up to date on when you do it so I can help you rig up your lights.

The Go Rhino's are a good guard but check out the Manik too.

A friend of mine who appears on this board every now and then has one on his 2001 ZR2 abd he hit a deer with it about 6 or 8 months ago.

He pulled out of that with no damage other than his KC's being out of adjustment. They are very strong and priced about the same as the Rhino.
