Air pressure on 265/75 16's

Currently have a 265/75 MT's on a 01 4x4 1500 Suburban. What is the recommended air pressure? Tire manufacture has the tire max to 55psi? Currently mine is 45psi hot? Need your expertise

They sound like load range "C". I would use at least 50 to 55 PSI cold in rear (to keep that big tail from wagging) and 40 to 45 PSI cold in front.

I have the Load rating D, Would that still apply

45 psi cold should be fine for your Sub. Pump them to 55 psi and you'll start losing teeth when going over bumps.
