Dash Display

I have a 1999 GMC Sierra and for sometime now, a couple of the bulbs in the main dash display (speedo, tach, etc) are out, mostly in cold weather. The trasnsmission/odometer display is nearly always out. Have any of you had similar problems that you've repaired yourself? If so, can you tell me the procedure and the cost.

Thanks, John

Is this a classic body style or "new" body style?

If the newer style (99-02), the gear indicator and odometer aren't lit by bulbs, so if there's a problem with it, you either have a bad cluster or bad headlight switch.

The analog gauges are lit by bulbs that you can change easily.

You will have to pull the bezel (it just pulls off, no screws) and remove 4 7mm screws to remove the cluster.
