6.0L Exhaust

On the now discontinued LD 2500, the exhaust is a dual in, single 2 1/2" out muffler with a 2 1/2" tailpipe. On the 2500 HD the ehaust has a dual in dual 2 1/2" out w/ x pipe and 3" tailpipe. Why the difference, and is there any measured power difference?

It would help some I am sure. Flowmaster makes a muffler that will fit that with dual inlets and a single 3.5 inch outlet. That would play nicely and yet maintain a stock like appearance and quiet interior.

also magnaflow makes a daul 3" in, single 4" out catback for that app.

A couple of guys have cut those dual in "Dual" out mufflers apart and found one of the outs is a fake, it doesn't go anywhere but to a dead end chamber. It might be a resonator chamber but it's not really dual outlet!
