Rotating tires

What is the best direction to rotate the tires? I have BFG's that I bought about 6 months ago and have been meaning to get this done. I'm not sure if it is best to go front to be or cross them. :seeya:

In the owners manual it says that if the tires are all of the same tread then the backs go to the front(on the same side) and the fronts cross over to the back. I went to rotate mine yesterday and realized i had to have the truck completely off the ground. Didn't want to mess with it so called dealer. He charged 19.99 to rotate and detailed my truck to boot(had mondo bugs on the front :lol: ) So figured what the heck let them do it. I'm sure getting lazy in my old age. I used to do everything myself but now :seeya: .

I just rotate mine front to rear on the same side about every 6K or so. If the fronts are showing uneven wear then it may be time for an alignment. Be sure your tires are not directional if you are going to rotate them side to side.

This question has been discussed at length many times.

The instruction manual suggests an X or modified X pattern.

BFGoodrich customer service recommends an X or modified X pattern.

If you have ANY doubts, call the tire manufacturer yourself.

Here's one of many threads on the subject:

Tire Rotation

Even if you don't cross your tires during the rotation, you'll still extend tire life by rotating them.

I'm a fan of rotating front to rear, no criss cross. Radials seem to have a problem with criss-crossing the tires. I've actually crossed tires on cars and gotten a pull, crossed them back and the pull went away. Just my experience though.

This discussion has been beat to death before. Read the manual or talk to a tire dealer you trust and just do it.
