Trailblazer handles & mouldings

Anybody tried to change the "off color" door handles and side mouldings on a Trailblazer LT to the color matched ones?

How difficult would it be?

The door handles should be easy, I put the smooth Tahoe/Yukon handles on my Sierra.

I'd remove the moldings and leave 'em off  :D

First, does GM make "color-keyed" door handles? then need to find out if GM puts additives in the plastic that prevent paint from adhering to the handles.  I know all the import companies do that.  Just takes some special activators to make the paint stick, but any paint shop should be able to do it.  If only they didnt have the texture.....

The LTZ Trailblazers that I have seen have color keyed handles and moldings. For the EXT, the body-color door handles and body-color moldings come with the EXT LT Leather Plus Option Package, (at least for 2002 models).

In that case you should be able to order the paintable door handles, or you may even be able to order the painted one... The LS models have the color keyed panels and bumpers, should be able to just repaint the existing ones.  As for removing the door handles and panels, should be relatively easy, the driver door is the only one with a lock on it, and there should just be a few clips and a screw or two... not too hard.
