Go-Faster?

What do you guys recommend to make my 2004 2500HD (Duramax) go faster? its the LLY motor (I think). Can I chip it? Get some sort of power pack? Dual exhaust, etc?

What did you guys do?

Thanks! :banghead:

You can verify if you have the LLY motor by looking at the sticker attached to the inside of the glove box. Look for the LLY or LB7 code...

Actally I am pretty sure I have the LLY.. I think that if the 7th digit in the vin is a 2 it is an LLY.. (I think it was the seventh)

Im not sure what the letter represents the LLY in the VIN(or even if you can tell LLY vs LB7 in the VIN). But checking the glove box sticker for LLY as opposed to LB7 will tell you for sure.

I have Edge Hot Juice and a 4 inch Bullydog stainless exhaust.Dynoed 297 rwhp and 844 rwtq on a Mustang dyno last weekend.Would run easy 14's if I raced it.Got 11 mpg at 20,500 lb gross pulling a 44 ft gooseneck enclosed car hauler on a 650 mile pull to Indiana for a race last weekend. The mods cost 1600 bucks.

If the 8th digit in the VIN is a "2", then it's the new LLY. "1" = LB7.

Juice is working on a module for the LLY. Some people are testing the beta version now. Shouldn't be too much longer. It's worth the wait. :banghead:

Just finished Beta Testing the LLY Juice with the Attitude Monitor. This thing is  s*m*o*k*i*n*g !!!!!! The most usable feature is the Attitude monitor which allows for infinite adjustability from stock settings all the way up to an additional 120hp and 240 torque!!!. The only problems that I had was an occasional turbo bark under full throttle. Spoke with a senior engineer on 06-25 and he stated that it was only happening with the units that were below 2000' and has been fixed in the released version which by the way was on 06-24!!! If you have thought that you would save some money by purchasing a plug in programmer (if and when they are released..:  ) just go ahead and cough  up the extra dough and get the Juice (this is the end of my plug for them).......anyways it definatly woke my snail up!!!

Definitely a whole lotta barkin' goin' on with that beta Juice on the LLY. Got to personally watch one on the dyno and rode in one on the street. The thing was really barking the turbo. I have yet to bark my LB7 with the Juice, although I'm sure under the right circumstances it will happen someday.

Firetiger...What did the beta unit that you observed dyno out at? Also are you stacking the Juice and the Quad or just using the Quad for limiter and tire size? Anyone have experiance with the Superlift TruSpeed speedometer calibrator?.....

Well, they dyno'd it with the stock Allison, and then afterwards with the Suncoast Stage III installed. It really illustrated how much the Ally is slipping and not putting all the possible power to the tires with the Juice at level 5. If I remember, it was around 425HP/820 TQ with the beefed up tranny.

No, haven't stacked the Quad/Juice yet. I have the stock transmission and don't think that would be real good for it. :) I need to send the Quad in to get it updated to the latest revision and then either use it for speedo recal or sell it. It also is a decent unit (110HP version) but liked the tranny monitoring plus other bells and whistles of the Juice+Attitude.

Haven't heard of the Superlift calibrator. Works on the Ally???? price??

I have not used it but I did contact the tech guy at the link below and he stated it would work with a 04' LLY with a Ally tranny...... :)
