Oil Filter Question

I was looking for some PF25 & PF35 oil filters a week ago when I was in Michigan. Any of the parts stores or Wal-marts, K-Marts I was in didn't have them or didn't stock AC Delco filters.

Yesterday I was in a Auto Zone in Buffalo, same thing, no PF25s or PF35s, but they had a AC filter book. Looking up the vehicles I was needing the filters for, I see the PF25 has been replaced by the PF454 & the PF35 is now a PF1218. What if any differences are there?

The PF-454 and PF-1218 have anti-drainback valves, which are required on late model engines to prevent the oil filter from draining while the engine is off. I don't have the latest AC Delco filter catalog, but I think it is safe to use what they recommend for your trucks.

Their is no problem with using a PF1218 or equivlant, I have done it for years now. on my burb. Fram has a new number to for the 1218 replacement which I do not recall at the moment which I use anyway.
