Cliffnotes:

 

Went on a 4 day off road 4 wheeling adventure/camping trip. Had a great time, truck did great, engine started burning oil on day 3. On the way home, it started burning 1qt every 50 miles, and I was 250 miles from home. It's belching black smoke out the tailpipes now, and the pressure's barely 30psi with 5qts of 20W50 oil.

 

So the time has come....

 

And "the beast" is getting a low-budget 383 stroker buildup.
