Silverado VHO???

I am certain I saw a commercial for a Silverado VHO this weekend. I thought it was a local dealer option but it was a Chevrolet ad. It said it had 345hp and more torque than a Dodge Ram Hemi. Did I just dream this up or what? I can't find any info on a VHO anywhere on the internet. Chevrolet has no news on 2005's yet on their website. Please tell me this is true.

Yep. I saw it too. It was a blue extended cab with chrome wheels - it almost looked like the current SS models do.

Silveado VHO stands for "Vortec High Output". This is Chevy's version of the GMC 6.0L option. These are not available everywhere in the US. Just TX, LA, OK, AK.

These trucks are Silverado / Sierra 1500s with 20'' wheels (not the ones from the SS) and the 6.0L Vortec. These are basically 2WD SSs. There are other posts on the baord about these trucks.

They must be trickling out of the states you mentioned because my local chevy store had one here in MO.

They must be trickling out of the states you mentioned because my local chevy store had one here in MO.

Well as far as that goes, I'm not positive. I know this was the case for the GMC, not sure about the VHO.

This sounds like what I just bought - it has the 5.3 and there were others with different options, no 6.0L though. They all came with 20" rims and a "high performance suspension package" I can't find anywhere whats different from a base model though. Here's a pic:
