Does anyone have anymore information on either one of these two trucks?

Will Chevy ever produce a tahoe SS???? ive seen the prototype pics...

Probably not. Because thats what everybody wants. And GM wants to do the exact opposite for some reason.

A local dealer has '04 'Burbs on the lot that are badged as SS Suburbans. They have the new truck front end and a cowl induction type of hood. I was thinking that these were dealer built trucks. Does Chevy offer an SS Burban??

Will have to check a little closer next time I cruise the lot...

there are no SS Tahoes or Burbans. these are all dealer added options. on top of that, u will pay dearly for those options! its best to go aftermarket.

Dealers will do this b/c every now and then, they will get that sorry sucker who doesn't know about aftermarket or one who doesn't bother with it. they would rather pay up for the the dealer add ons. Trust me i know this, i work for a honda dealer. we screw soo many people on accessories. a set of fog lights cost $600!!! c'mon now!!

although very $$$, i love the look of the SS bumpers and badges!!! and if it were me, i would go to the dealer and haggle on the price. try to bring it down to what it would actually cost me if i did the mods and accessories... for instance, i priced out the SS bumper for my 96', basically, about 400 all said and done. dealer option would be at least 600-700 or more.

just something to think about..IMHO

Just a thought if the dealer installs it aren't the add on parts warrantied with the vehicle (if bought new)? If that is the case maybe purchasing the package is worth not worring about the 3m adhesive failing that holds all the garb on.
