AC question (possible problem)

Yesterday I was under the hood checking the air filter when I happen to look at the air conditioning condenser. I noticed that the water was dripping onto the top of the frame & running toward the rear & out of site. So I get under the truck & I can see that the water is entering the tubular frame about a foot behind the firewall. It runs inside the frame for about another foot and exits through a hole in the bottom. Normally this wouldn’t bother me except that the frame is beginning to rust in that section. Being from south Louisiana ,with the heat & humidity, I use the AC roughly 9-10 months out of the year, I use it every time I get in the truck. The AC drips, the frame gets wet & stays wet continually, the frame rusts.

Now here is the question, is there anything that I can do to redirect this water? Thanks

Are you sure that water dripping is coming from the condensor? When you see water dripping from cars underbody its from the evaporator sweting. Its the condensors job to turn the high pressure, hot refrigerant into high pressure, cool liquid. But you can try to find where the drain hole is and possibly run some flexible tubing away from the frame rail.
