Found Xtra Wire Harness

I was doing the regular fluid checks etc and I found myself checking underneath the tahoe today. I noticed an extra wiring harness, that looked unplugged hanging right near the bottom portion of the washer fluid container. (driver side front) its a 2 'prong' female adapter type plug with green and black wires. I thought it may have been the washer fluid sensor etc.. but its not. everyting else seems pluged in and everything is working fine, i just happened to notice this when i was peeking underneath. just curious !

 

anyone have ideas as to what this is?

is this an 'option' plug? or a test port?

Do you have the rear wiper/washer? If not, maybe it's for the 2nd washer pump that's non-existant on your truck. I'm fairly sure the front and rear feed off the same tank...

Does your washer fluid work? Mine came unpluged on time. I think the clip broke or something.

I'm guessing you have the barn doors in the rear. That plug is for the washer fluid motor for gate trucks.

Do you have a temp and compass mirror or just compass?

 

Not 100%, but it sounds like the hook up for the temp sensor if you have just a compass mirror.

yes i have the barn doors.. no rear wiper etc.

so that could be it.

everything else works fine !

was just wondering what was goin on w/ the plug
