battery dead

Went to start the truck this morning and it was dead. So I used the $80 jump box I have and it started up. Came home 10 hrs later and let the radio play on aux for 10 minutes and walla .....Would not crank. Jumped it it was fine..

I am pretty sure that the battery just wont hold a charge.

What do you think....

thats a fresh battery to already have problems. i doubt this is the case, but did you check to make sure your terminals were all very tight? i had that problem for a while and didnt realize it

If the battery itself is good, then something's draining it. Check for a parasitic draw...anything more than 50 milliamps is too much.(most NBS trucks I've tested are around 27-29 milliamps). Actually there's another thread about this same thing...or I'm having deja-vu...(had a few cocktails tonight)...think I'll do a search.. :jester:

Had the same problem once. The termanals were rusted. Cleaned them and retighted them and no problem since. :jester:
