Black02Silverado Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 I'm trying to copy mp3's to a cd but easy cd creator keeps turning them into cda files when it copies them over to the cd and my player in my car will not read it, any ideas as to how I can make an mp3 cd with what is saved on my computer? Thanks
Z71GA Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 I use iTunes. All you have to do is make a play list and then burn the list to a CD all done in iTunes no other software needed. Free at HERE
MCourson Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 If you are trying to make a normal cd they are supposed to be converted into cdas. One thing that could be is you may be trying to use a CD-RW in an older (pre 2000 and some newer) player(I think the Delcos used up until 02 will not read RWs), that would cause the player to be unable to read. If that is the case, just switch to using CD-Rs. If you are trying to make a MP3 cd, and you have a player specifically designed to play MP3s then make sure you select Data CD in the project selector in Easy CD.
bigdogs Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 What it is doing it creating an "audio cd" which does use CDA (CD Audio) files. Tell it you are making a data CD and copy them that way. Nero can do it too and IMO is a better burning program..
Black02Silverado Posted August 24, 2004 Author Posted August 24, 2004 Tried coping my mp3's to make a data cd and it did all that but when I go to access the cd it tells me that E: is not accessable, incorect function. So all that information is on the cd but it can't be accessed. Go figure. Don't know what I'm doing wrong.
bigdogs Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 Did it close (finalize) the disc? Try also ejecting and reinserting the disc and see if it can read it then.
Black02Silverado Posted August 24, 2004 Author Posted August 24, 2004 I tried removing the disk and no luck. It didn't close it or finalize it. Never asked to just said that it was complete. Will finalize the disk if I burn regular music cd but now when I make a data or mp3.
