MAGNAFLO QUESTION

Desided FINALY on the magnaflo (thanks guys)

went to a muffler shop he said the same thing about it being the best choice for a quite sound. the question is this he said the big block magnaflo would be the ticket, its very long and big. he said this might not sound any diff than factory but with some of the performance gains im after. Hey i would like some sound, he said to go to the next step down magnaflo would increase sound by 20persent with greater gains, how much louder is 20 persent??? the muffler is a shorter version

Whats the deminsions for the BB muffler? I have the Magnaflow 5X11X22" muffler with single 3" in and 3" out and it sounds awesome BUT it does like to drone on the expressway. From 55-70 mph it can get bothersome but I think some sound deading material can take away the edge. I'd check into it and see if you might like it, good luck.

I got the Cat-Back system from MagnaFlow Part #15792. This is the best sounding system I have ever hurd, Cat-Back or shop built!!!

The 5x11" cases are the "Big Block" muffler I believe. The muffler above is probably the same one your exhaust guy told you to run. It will definately be heard over stock, and it will have some throatyness to it, but at cruise speeds, it will be almost like stock

I have the 5"x11" case that is 22" long, single in, dual out. Slightly noticable at idle, a deep rumble at best under acceleration and no cab noise at cruising speeds. It sounds like an old big block. Very mellow, not loud at all.

I agree.

I have some sound clips in the link in my sig. if you want to hear the smaller muffler with dual pipes out the back (3 inch in / 2 X 2.5 inch out)... The part numbers and all should be in the thread... Congrats on the decision!
