Changing 700R4 to Turbo400

I am 17 years old and I just requested information regarding the swap of my rear end on my 2 wheel drive 1987 Chevrolet Silverado R10 to a full floating rear end. I had many good suggestions but I decide to go for a full floater rear end ratio 4:10 instead of keeping the small rear end that was original in the truck. I purchased a full floater and had it sand blasted plus rims sand blasted and powder coated with new seals brakes and bearings and installed it myself. Total cost $341.56 plus gas running around to do the job. Now I want to do away with the 700 R4 transmission and replace it with a Turbo 400 transmission. Looking for suggestions. I am not looking to save gas, this truck will only be used for towing. Has anyone done this conversion. I just purchased a Turbo 400 Transmission for $100. and would like suggestions as to what I need to make this transmission capable of pulling a maximum of 10,000 lbs. I usually only pull 8,000 with my truck and that is what caused my transmission to go bad. Any suggestions with this swap and suggestions as to what I need to do to make my transmission more bullet proof. I would like to keep the cost down to $500. on transmission overhaul.

Thanks for your help.
