Increased hieght on new Silverado's

Did anyone notice that the hieght on the new 05 model GM trucks seemed to get a little taller. Today i went to the dealership to look around for a 05 model HD but only the gas HD's arrived but not the diesel, the salesman said they should be in tomorrow or in two days, but looking at one of the HD's i notice it sat more taller then the 04 and 03's i had previously seen in the past and i was just looking through the internet for a comparison and it seems that Chevy/GMC raised there trucks 2inch's in height on the 3/4 ton model's to 77.0 compared to Fords 78.0 hieght 3/4 ton trucks, but i dont know about the new model fords, since they went back to coil front suspension they look kinda low. If you guys ever go to one of those ford dealerships, make sure to compare the new ford hieght to the 04 model in which stills use's leaf springs and you'll see the difference the 05 and 04 model have on each other, the 05 looks a little shorter compared to the leaf springs used on the 04 models.

According to the 2001-2004 HD books, the ext cab and reg cab models were approx. 76.2" in height and the crew cabs are 77" in height.

I doubt they raised them any.

that 05 does look taller. i had a brief look at one but i wasnt driving my truck to park next to it. gotta love the 05's new hood!

i looked at that 05 again today and i realized it is taller cause its a 3500 SRW! WOW! gotta love it!

Today i was coming back from the field and coming back i saw from a distance this truck hauling some trailer as i got closer i notice it was one of those new 05 Silverado's HD, to tell you the truth i almost wrecked my truck just glancing at it well it past by me and boy it looked awesome, it was hauling this big butt trailer, im diffentely gonna go in for a trade for a 05 Silverado HD they really look big and badazz and just think how it would look if somebody lifted it and added some monster tires and all. Very Cool !
