woyster_00z71 Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 I am thinking about replacing the stock shocks on my 2001 Tahoe Z71 with 84,000 miles on it for a set of ProComp ES3000's. 4wheelparts is running a special for $125.99 including 4 shocks, boots, free shipping and an ES2000 steering stabilizer (that I will probably not use...anyone interested). Anyway, is the ES3000 a good shock? I know the ES1000's are the bottom of the line and then they have the ES9000's and MX-6's. Any thoughts are appreciated. I am on a limited budget and these fit the bill but are they a good shock for mostly on-road driving with an occasional off-road trip here and there. Thanks, B.J.
Rookie Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 They are a good shock for the money. I would not say they are good for off road use but but from what you are saying i would think they should do just fine
ASIB54 Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 If you look at their website, you will find you are able to upgrade to the 9000's for a mere ten dollars.
Wingnut Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 I just put the 3000s on my truck a couple of months ago, quite a bit better than stock. Of course, that's FWIW, IMHO, and YMMV.
