SUPERCHARGE OR TURBO??????

ok im stuck with a decision to make here. Ive had a whipplecharger in my truck but i went through 2 stock short bloccks with it(im told by everyone that they have never heard of that happening) so I sold that setup and now im feeling the need again. Since that time Ive decided to go with the forged bottom end and have acquired a set of their fastburn heads. Do you guys think i should stick with the naturally aspirated route and put a nice cam in it................OR ............. get another forced induction setup (with the heads naturally  ). IF supercharged then which one, I would like to run an intercooler and im sort of shying away from whipple due to my bad luck with it. But then again I would also have no problem going with a turbo setup. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you haven't bought the crank yet, have you thought about going stroke....383.

Lot less that an SC or TC for the similar HP gains and a whole lot more torque.

GM's Performance crate ZZ383 is at 425HP/460ftLbs to give you an idea.

I myself, if supercharging, would use a MagnaCharger. They use Eaton.

Unless your planning on replacing piston with forged one. Looks like you will keep it N/A. Hypereutectic pistons are know to be brittle in boosted apps.

Replace the pistons with low compression (8.5 or 8.7 to 1) forged units, and turbo the heck out of it. Turboed 350. mmmmm horsepower. 20+psi boost mmmmm

Supercharge all the way. You get more hp for less hassle with a SC. Seems like you really need a lot of boost when you turbo. And with more boost, you need to re-enforce your engine internals which adds to the cost.

Thats the same setup GM uses on all their ZZ assemblies- They recently installed and intercooled Vortech on Overhauling on a zz4 assembly

Sorry but turbo always produce more torque and more power pound for pound of air pressure when done the right way. Plus turbo easily turn up for more power - boost controller! Also Does not need horespower to turn it. unlike a S/C.
