Suspension lift

You will get lift out of the front end and it will also stiffen your ride.

If you do raise the torsion bars, make sure to have an alignment done afterwards otherwise you will wear tires out faster as will as ball joints.

In reality the most lift you can get out of cranking up the torsion bars and maintain a safe and reasonable ride, would be about the amt of lift to level the truck from frt to rear.

If you go too tight your ride will become unbearable, and you could risk breaking a torsion bar.  If the latter would happen at any sort of speed you would undoubtably crash and quite posibbly roll over...  my $.02

If you live anywhere where there are rough roads or if you use your truck in off road situations,I would go no more than 5 turns to each bar.

Each turn raises the front roughly .2" so it would give you about 1" lift in the front.

If you do this,do not turn one bar up 5 times and then go to the other, instead give each bar 2 turns in a 2 set rotation and then 1 final turn to each bar.

It may also help to put a jack on the front bumper and raise the front end a little to ease pressure but make sure you leave the tires on the ground.

chscof-

Frank and Shaners are giving you the right advice.  Mine were cranked all the way up after putting on big tires and it was a horrible ride all the way home, scary and teeth jarring till I could bring it back down a little.

If you do adjust yours, the one thing I would add to their wise words is to measure on a flat surface, each side, ground to top of wheel well, prior to adjusting.  You may be surprised to find one side higher than the other, and doesn't need as many turns to level it out.  Also, when you're done you can go back and remeasure the new height and see what you've gained.  Good luck-

If you want a lift get your self a 3 inch body lift or a 4 or 6 inch suspension lift probably would be better in the long run but it will cost you some money. Body lift are pretty cheap anywere from ? to ? suspension lift or closer to the ? t o? range for a 4 or 6 inch lift.
