spark knock

I have a huge amount of spark knock under light acceleration. If I use more pedal I have none? anyone got any Ideas? the truck has 70,000 miles.

2001 2500hd 6.0L 4.10 KN FIPK I just cleaned the MAF hoping that would help and there was no change.

The best thing to do would be to get your truck looked at by someone who has an OBD II scanner or if worst comes to worst, take it to the dealer. That will probably be your best bet in finding the problem, where you can actually get into the data stream of the PCM and see what all the sensors, PCM and actuaters are doing.

Probably a clogged injector, but could be many other things. When did you last change the fuel filter?

It was supposedly changed just before I purchased it. around 50,000 miles.

Well it's due again anyway. That's a pretty cheap place to start, $10 and a half hours time!
