I don't even get carfax's anymore. A relative totaled a Trailblazer and the guy who bought it several months later called us needing something to transfer the warrenty to him. When I told him that the warrenty had been cancelled due to the fact it had been wrecked a month after we bought it. He was shocked, he'd run a carfax on it a good 3-4 months after it had been out of the shop and it had no records. Guess he's got a lawsuit in his hands...

Just heard on the radio the other day, Carfax now gaurantees the report. If the report isn't accurate, they cut you a check for the purchase price of the vehicle.

 

Here's the statement about that:

The "problems" are total-loss accident, mileage problems, lemon history and fire/flood damage.
