Starting Issue

Recently in the last week or so, I've noticed that blue has taken 2 attempts at starting to get going. I tried to pay attention to it the last day or 2, and noticed this morning after the truck sat in the well-insulated garage that despite holding the key a reasonable amount of time this morning, it wouldn't start the first time. I let the key go back then cranked again and she started right up. This didn't happen after the truck sat in the lot at work for 8hrs today, but did happen after I was at church for an hour after work. I turn the key the first time and it cranks but won't catch, second time, starts right up. The battery was replaced about 2 months ago. No idiot lights coming on or anything like that. Any thoughts? Probably going to the dealer while at work on Monday I think, but I'd like to have some ideas as to what it may be.

Lots of people hav ehad to replace the fuel pressure regulator on their NBS v8s.

Usual symptom is hard warm starting.

You can check by pulling the vacuum line to the regulator. If it is wet with fuel inside the regulator is bad.

That's one thing to check at least.

Yeah, I've seen that mentioned here a bunch of times.  Where would I find that line at?

It'll be in the middle of the driver's side fuel rail. The reg is circular with a small vacuum line going to the top of it. Pull that hose off of it and check for the presence of fuel. Very common.
