crj22 Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 Are there any websites that offer inexpensive alloy wheels besides Discount Tire Direct? They have several 16X8 styles for less than $150 a wheel, but i havent seen many other places with wheels for less, that arent steel. Thanks
willscary Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 I kept missing the auctions on ebay because I work late, but if factory wheels are what you are looking for, go to ebay and watch this company's auctions. I paid $575 plus shipping for 4 brand new take-offs with tires (maybe not the best tires, but they will work for me for the next 3 or 4 years). Wheels alone are very reasonable.
tmf6902 Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 You might want to look at Wheelsforless.com. There prices were ok but I don't know what your looking for. I had a neutral experience with them. I ordered some wheels which we on sale on a Friday. On monday they wrote me email to tell me they were out of stock, and American Racing wasn't going to send them new wheels anytime soon, so they cancelled the order, no big deal, except the wheels are still being offered on the website at the non-sale price. Maybe it's just poor website design, maybe they just wanted to make a few extra bucks....but they refunded my money so I am happy, and I found the wheels somewhere else.
crj22 Posted October 30, 2004 Author Posted October 30, 2004 I dont want take-offs, but I do plan to sell mine as soon as I get some new ones. Discount tire direct has alloy wheels with similar styles to other manufacturers, but a lot cheaper. for instance they have a 16X8 alloy wheel for 90 a piece with free shipping.
ASIB54 Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 Check out ebay and look up TomZ Wheels ebay store. They offer a near complete line of affordable Eagle Alloys at prices that no one else can touch.
JRKRACE Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 Ditto on TomZWheels on ebay. I bought a set of Eagle 101 16X8 wheels for my HD about a year ago and he was by far the best person to deal with. Right on top of things. When I had a request for the shorter caps for my wheels, Tom sent a set out to me and told me to send the old set back when I was all set. You dont get that service antwhere. Plus my wheels were delivered in MINT condition. I would not go to anybody else except him for wheels....
Scyry Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 For the Ebay-tarded, hwo do you get to Ebay stores, specifically TomZ Wheels?
h8dviks Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 go to www.ebay.com when the home page comes up, go to the top left of the home page under "specialty sites", and select "ebay stores". Under "Find a Store" type in "Tomz Wheels" and a link to his site should come up. If I knew how to link a site on here I wouls just do that but I am 'puter stupid.
fastdrvr23 Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 Here you go guys, those are some good prices! http://stores.ebay.com/TomZ-Wheels
sxmax Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 My vote is for TomZ Wheels too!! Cheapest place for Chrome plated alloys I could find. I would show you what they look like on my rig if I could only figure out how to post pictures. I have them on Car domain but I don't know how to link them!!!!!
Rox Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 Mickey Thompson has Classic lock ll for 120.00 in my summit racing mag and cragar has some
GF7PE Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 I got some wheels from them too. Eagle 101's i think with lugs and shipping 17x9 $125 each very good to deal with and came fast too
