Ok first post, and so far I love the site. Lots of info and helpful folks.

OK I just bought an 02 Z71 ext 5.3.

The first mod I was going to do, which was 2 hours after I got home with it, was lift the front end up. Well I did my premeasure first, and the passenger side was 1 1/4 taller. So I raised the driver side up to match it. Well It looks better allready NOW that it is even. But my question is, is there a max that it can be raised. I really don't know where I started from. I don't know if the first owner tried to raise it and died after the passenger side, or that it came from the factory that way. I guess if there is a max, before something breaks, should I go to the max then back it off untill It dosn't feel to stiff of a ride. Any help would be great.

With stock keys, most will say 2" is max, beyond that, rides like a log with 4 tires (like a dodge :seeya: ) I wouldn't go over 1.5". Do a search on Ford Keys, you'll find tons of info about cranking the t-bars. Welcome to the board! Chris

there's been all kinds of discussion about T-bars in the past. Some guys say it's no good at all. Some guys say they go over 2.25" and they don't have any problems....yet anyway. I agree, probably don't go over 1.5" And if you do go more than an inch, be a good idea to get an alignment. On my 99 Z71 I have it cranked about one inch. I could tell a difference. They did mine when I went to repair a tire at NTB. If you're planning on getting different tires on that new truck maybe you could just ask them to do it, save you another trip for alignment. Can't wait to get Ford keys though...
