Hi

 

I have a 86 1/2ton pick up 2 wheel drive i was looking to get a posi rear or limited slip but don't know which one would be better for this application i will be using it to tow cars with on a trailer and drive every day it has a 350 with th350 tranny.

Positrac is the same as Limited Slip. There are many manufacturers that make a posi for your truck. There is also a Locker, which is more of a ratcheting differential and there is always a spool, but these two options wouldnt be to street friendly. Just my 2 cent....

I have a locker in my '81 and it's AWESOME off road, but turning corners on the street results in a few barks of those monsterous tires...
