Favorite year?

Yea I've been in the market for a new ride for a couple of weeks now. My question is..what is everyones favorite year from the C/Ks up to now?

I have to say 1994. I love the locations and placements of everything in my truck...and the cupholders rock...

If only the 98s had the 94 dash :seeya:

Personally, I like the 1997 C/K interior/exterior/Vortec 350 combo. Not that I'm biased or anything. :seeya: Compared to my dad's 95 K1500, I like the dash from the '96-98's, although you do lose 2 cupholders, I just don't like the dip on the passenger's side. Adding a passenger's airbag is a plus. Plus you get a better arm rest in the middle of the front seat with the '96-'98 C/K's. Seriously, the fact that you can get a Vortec 350 is reason enough for me to love any '96-98 C/K. Chris

72,87, and the 02 are mine but my 04 is growing on me, but out of all the GM trucks out there I would get a project truck it would be a 73-87 SB, you can do so much to them (all out insane 572 power)

My ex- drove a 96 4x4 Yukon, now I have the '02 Tahoe 2wd, and my parents have the '02 Tahoe 4x4.

The Tahoes drive, handle, accelerate, and most importantly brake better than the '96 Yukon.

Between the 2 Tahoes, my parents and I traded for an afternoon. We decided that my 2wd drives better and smoother than their 4x4. The 02 just felt more solid and sturdy while driving. Both have the 3rd row seats.

Ok, I'll admit I'm biased. I love my 89 C1500 reg cab long bed. It's somewhat unreliable, but I've put too much into it to like anything more than it. I know where everything is, and it's so easy to get to anything under the hood.

My Dad's 2000 1/2 ton is quieter, and definatly has more power, but doesn't feel as solid as mine. My truck makes more noises, squeaks more, but has a much more satisfying 'thunk' when you shut the door.

'94, dents and duct tape make it special!! Bullet holes to hide white peeling paint. :seeya:

ah yes...someone who can feel the love with 94's. I do however wish the V8s, were Vortec instead of the TBI motors.

1995 Yukon.

First year of the 4-door

old body style but new dash in 1995

a real tailgate you can sit on and picnic

no DRL's

still said GMC TRUCK on the tailgate, not just GMC

no passenger airbag so extra space on the dash

at the time OBD I, not OBD II, which was easier to modify.

That last point is probably moot by now.

1st-1987-First year of "fuel injection" last year of solid axle in a regular cab pick-up with a bed.

2nd-67-72-IMO, the best looking body style ever.

3rd-03+-Most confortable and I'm probably one of the few that likes the looks better then 99-02
