Are you talking about the Pace Edwards model? I have a roll back tonneau cover, called the Jackrabbit. Also had the original model on my old truck. For installation, I can definitely help ya there.

As for comments, etc: Next time I buy a truck, I most likely will NOT buy another retractable cover. I think the quality in the workmanship is way down for one.

Also, I get lots of water in my bed which I'm not thrilled about. Third, the design of the Jackrabbit is lacking IMO - seems very flimsy and almost delicate.

When I bought the original model they make, I was very impressed, the thing was just great - dry bed, solid construction, but a PITA to install, especially by yourself. Now the Jackrabbit is easy to install - anyone who works on a vehicle can do it.

However, since I'm obviously stuck with it (not paying more to replace it) - I decided to go buy the tool top box so I can get my tools to dry ground. That should be fun to install.

No, the Roll Bak is mfg. by a different company than Pace-Edwards. Already have heard a few bad reports on them. The Roll Bak is a newer company, I think. Their cover is more pricey than the Pace-Edwards, but apparently better quality. (www.backliner.com) My problem is I can't use a soft cover (my wife won't put anything back there unless I assure her it's as secure as Fort Knox). Don't want a solid cover as the majority of time I will need the bed open for hauling. Retractables seem to fit the bill, if I can find one that's of good quality and won't leak.
