still have intermitant starting

Hey guys,

2001 silverado with 5.3L

Well I read all the posts about hard starting and did as most advised and changed the fuel pressure regulator. Did not solve the problem. Still cranks over likes its out of gas then starts if you stop cranking and try again. Runs great after its started. This occurs if its warm or cold. Started 3-4 days ago. Probably going to take it to my mechanic to check it out. If its the fuel pump how hard is it to change and how much do they cost?

They replaced my pump last week to solve the same problem/symptoms.

I replaced the fuel pump in my truck. It wasn't that hard, but I took my bed off. Had some friends help me, once you get the bed off, it takes about 5 minutes (if that) to replace the pump.

I got my pump from parts direct and it was in the 250 range I think?
