its a really good movie all around. A good balence of humor, action, mystery. I think its the best disney movie I've seen in a REALLY long time. and no, it's not geared toward kids at all, its an good, clean adult movie. It's also got a lot of historical intrigue in it. If you like history, you'll really like this.

 

I'd put it next to Spider-Man 2 as one of the years best flims.

 

and it's kid safe too, anyone of any age will like it.

 

I got to see an advanced screening, wow, the security was a little crazy about bootlegging.

 

This is Oklahoma, they wrre a little over the top about it!

 

I'd rate is 5 of 5, two thumbs up, whatever floats your boat, just go see it. Sure I got in free, but it'd be worth the 6 or so bucks it costs to go in!

It's a "Cousin" film to Pirates of the Carribean. So good things should be expected from it. There's something about Nicholas Cage I don't like though, so I'm reluctant to see it.

 

I can't wait for POTC 2.

It's a Jerry Bruckheimer movie, so I wouldn't put one ounce of weight in anything historical or factual about a single thing in any movie he makes. I was shocked that he got the date right in "Pearl Harbor".

 

That said, I still think that he makes some of the best eye-candy movies of all time.

Top Gun

Gone in Sixty Seconds

Pirates of the Caribbean

 

Of course, he also produced Flashdance and Coyote Ugly.

 

Other than the body counts, and lots of stuff blowing up. His films are usually fairly safe.

 

He makes movies for pure entertainment. Not for art or enlightenment. No gay cowboys eating pudding in his movies, that's for sure.

 

He's usually sucessful in getting my money.
