Fronts stick out

I have 315/75's on my 04 hd w/a 6" lift my front tires stick out alot farther then the back does anyone know why and how to correct this if their is a way?

You must have a Spindle Lift. This is common with these kinds of lifts. Only way to fix it is to buy front wheels with more backspacing than the rears, but then you can't rotate. Your next option is to buy spacers for the rear wheels so they stick out like the front.

Yeah, some lifts widen the stance of the front. There are a few people on here that have bought aftermarket billet aluminum spacers to widen the rear to match. Here's a quality company that makes spacers, http://www.wheeladapter.com/wheel_adapters...eel_spacers.asp Chris

Also, some of the GM trucks have a wider track in the front than the rear before any lift. Additionaly, remember that the front of the truck body narrows slightly as it goes forward, so the track may be the same as the back, but the body is slightly narrower making the front stick out from the fenders, but not wider than the rear.

Thats just another reason to stay away from spindle Lifts and go with full drop kits.

Correct and this was this case with my 2000 ZR2. It became more obvious after the lift with the wider tires but no one else ever said anything about it because they never really looked as closely at my truck as I did.

 

You could always go with a small wheel spacer in the rear assembly instead of having rims that are backspaced differently. That way you can still rotate your tires and all.

it's just a Gm thing that they did to 4x4 trucks. They state it is designed this way for ultimate traction in off road or snowy conditions.
