Radio has little base

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have a problem with the stock radio in my 2001 Suburban. The radio doesnt have much base. I can turn the adjustment for the base all the way to max and can just notice a little differance then if it were turned all the way down. I can change the auto eq settings and there does not change it either. The radio just sounds weak. I had a 99 Tahoe before this truck and that radio was much stronger. Just wondering if anyone has any info that may help me out.

I have an '01 Impala that doing the same thing. It is an RDS radio. Dealer said best bet is to run it to a radio repair shop.

You mean bass? Just kidding. When you turned the bass all the way up did you try turning the treble all the way down? That will allow you to add more volume to the overall sound. Also, quit playing Barry Manilow. No bass in his crap. :ughdance:
