A new low with Z71 Stickers

Recommended Posts

I couldnt believe my eyes today I had to take a triple take. A guy with an older (not the newest style but the older version maybe a late 90s model) had the old style (98) chevy Z71 stickers on his truck where they would be located on the bedside.

A dodge with Z71 stickers??? This is a new low

:crackup::crackup:

maybe I should get a set and put them on my impala??? Offroad impala :crackup:

Not to be outdone last night on my way home from work I spotted a Saturn coup with Z-71 off road stickers. I seriously considered pulling the wife's hairdryer out to debadge my truck. Especially now that GM is degrading the Z-71 by releasing 2WD Z-71's. They (GM) had to take a good idea and simply ruin it. :crackup:

I replaced my stock stickers w/ some aftermarket that I really like, but i think I am gonna change in a year or so and go with 4x4 instead. after i put new shocks on and upgrade to real skid plates it won't be a Z71 anymore anyway.

maybe he was just trying to show those stickers dont mean anything

I prefer the look of no stickers at all. But I trade vehicles often and the Z-71 on the side seems to make them sell faster :crackup:

The worst is when people put them on the sides of Tahoes and Suburbans :crackup:

It seems every other 2 door Tahoe I see has them on it. The 95 I had really was a Z-71, but I didn't put those ugly ass stickers on it.

That sickens me, a 2wd Z71.

Yea, I don't get that either...I thought that originally Z71 = off road 4x4 package (which = shocks, skid plates, & stickers or whatever).

I removed my decals about a year ago and I like it better without em anyway...don't know why I waited so long to do it :crackup:

GM pi$$ed me off when they came out with the 2WD Colorado Z71. Most Colorados I see have this package. I went to the local dealer the other day cause I was bored. They had more 2WD Tahoe Z71s than 4WDs. It was stupid. The worst part is they cost almost $50,000, but thats off-topic.

I hate those stickers anyway. Who wants to have some lameass stickers on a truck that cost over 40K (or any price for that matter)?!! The 4x4 stickers on the side of my truck were off within 3 days of purchasing (along with the other ridiculously fugly 2500 and Sierra emblems!). I couldnt care less if anyone knows its a 4x4 or not. :crackup:
