Granatelli MAF sensor opinions!Westers Compatable?

Hi there everyone. I came across a decent deal; and I want your guys opinion if I should pick this up. I own a 97'Tahoe Vortec 5.7L; and I want to know if this would be a solid "bang for the buck". I could get this sensor for $200 cash, and it's also the cold air/high flow intake version. It is also brand spankin new! 350113-C is the model#

 

I'm most definetely going to do a Westers 91 HOT tune comming this March/April. Will Lyndon or one of his authorized dealers be able to program for it? Will this grantatelli MAF make the HOT tune better? Guys, please shed me the light if you think I should go for it..or don't even sweat it.....THANX:)

I would stay away from the aftermarket MAF's, everything that I've heard about them has been negative. Not alot of performance to be had, may even lose some. I've heard of people experiencing lean conditions and pinging after installation...not my personal experience, just what I've read here and at ls1tech.com.

I ran Granatelli MAF on my 5.3 2001 and also on a 4.3 S-10. Both threw all kinds of trouble codes and demonstrated a decrease in performance.

They were sent back.

 

Then later I tried it again when we did a hot tune on my Magnacharged 5.4 F150. This was disasterous as well.
