Yukon Denail, Tahoe, or a Silverado??

Even though I have about a year to make my decision, I am looking to get a new vehicle. Either a Yukon Denail, Tahoe, Silverado Reg. Cab, or a Silverado SS.

Money is an issue right now, so if I were to get a Yukon Denail, Tahoe, or a Silverado SS, I would probably lease it.

If I were to purchase a vehicle, it would be a Silverado Reg Cab.

I know the SUVs are comming out next mid-year and I like the current styling a lot! How much of a discount would GM do?

What should I do? Buy a Silverado Reg. Cab, and not worry too much about payments; or would it be worth the extra $$$ for speed - Silverado SS or luxury - Yukon Denali?

Or .... should I modify my Jeep Wrangler I have right now?

Yukon Denail or a reg cab pick up is like nite and day for uses.

you need to decide what you need from your truck to make you happy!

Do you carry people or cargo?

Is the truck for show or work?

I am also considering a Sierra Denali. So it is like part of the Denail and part of the Silverado SS.

I will be carrying people, and the truck will be for show.

Ill sell ya my ss so i can get the sierra denali!  29k n shes yours!

I'm curious Cokedrvr, why the Sierra Denali when you have a SS which is very similar, is it the nicer interior or the Quadrasteer, or the 05 4 door cab?

Only words of advise I can give to ya......DONT buy more than you can afford! I been down that road before and it didnt work.....good luck with your future purchase!

Thanks for the advise! I am narrowing down my choices to a Silverado Work Truck or a Tahoe. A Denali is too much for my budget right now.

I have decided I want to buy the vehicle. I know the Tahoe are going to be re-design next year, does anyone know how deep of a discount they are going to do?

If a Tahoe is going to be cheaper or close to the amount of a Silverado Work Truck, then I will get the Tahoe. If not, then I will get the Silverado.

There's a huge difference in price between a Silverado WT and a Tahoe.

IMHO you need to wait till you have your money together....you'll change your mind by then anyway

Are you married, have children?

Planning on getting married and having children? Get the Tahoe. My family vehicle is a '99 GMC Suburban. My brother-in-law's family has a Yukon Denali, he wishes they got the XL now because of the extra cargo space. If money is an issue never buy new. New vehicles are the worst investment unless you plan on keeping it FOREVER.

just my thoughts on this but I would go with an ext cab short bed GMC SIERRA and go with either a base model if you are hitched or have kids and W/T if your single and not planning on getting hitched anytime soon. I like to have an open bed to carry things that I would not want or could not fit inside the back of a Tahoe. I also stay away from suvs that are not 4x4 or smaller than suburbans to avoid the whole soccer mom thing.

Like the others have said, you need to figure out what your usage is going to be. What are your interests- hunting/fishing/camping, home improvement, etc. Also, the family situation- will you haul people or "stuff"? Get those answers together then we can make some better suggestions.

No more Quadrasteer! I like the crew cab. Just time for a change. :D The interior isnt that much different...just the little accent pieces.

If you want the vehicle for show I would not lease it. When you get the vehicle you will always want to add things to it. It's a waste of money if your leasing it since you don't get anything back for doing it. ALso if you fall in love with it and you want to keep it at the end of the lease you end up paying so much more for the vehicle than if you would have bought it in the first place.

I used to have a 2001 Silverado ext cab. I leased it and wished I hadn't. I then bought a 1997 SUburban. I like it just as much as the Silverado. The Suburban has it's advantages for traveling and carrying the family, dog, and luggage. The truck had it's advantages for being able to haul junk.

I agree that you should buy used. I bought my Suburban used and paid 1/3 what the original owner did and it's almost as nice as the day it was driven off the lot. I also love that body style. I don't think it will ever look bad. No matter what you decide you will always wish you had the opposite.

If you buy used you can by a pickup and an SUV for the same price as one would cost new. :D
