new manik grille guard

Got a grille guard Thursday. Problem is, the bolts that mouth the actual gurad to the mounts (connected to the frame of the pickup), were too long to put the locker nuts on. So I bought some 1/2" nuts from Home Depot and then put the lockers on the outside of that.

But if you try hard enough you can still pull it out some (the grille guard). But I've driven fast on rough roads to test it and it will not shake on the road for the life of itself.

Will it be ok to leave it like this or does it need to be where you can't even pull it out AT ALL?

Thanks guys.

Thanks man.

Actually I got down there and tightened it up real good and now it won't move at all. And also stuck the lockers on the outside of the home depot ones.

Thank you "sir, you're causing a scene"

doubt I'm leaving anybody hanging on this but just to be polite I thought I let you know my scanner broke, so no pics for a while. Eventually I'll open a cardomain account.

Re-tighten every few days for a couple weeks. Over the first few miles, it will need tightened just a hair and eventually, you won't need to anymore.

I have had mine for years and love it!!
