If you don't know bodywork, then it sounds like your either going to have to pay a shop to do it for you, or do like I would...Spray paint the duct tape to match your paint. :chevy:

Kidding man. That really sucks.

But what about the other bolt holes? How did you plug them up?

A quick and temporary solution would be to put your truck in a heated garage and apply a dab of clear silicon to the hole to seal it. Use the stuff that is for outdoors so it will stay flexible in the cold.

There is a 2 part epoxy putty i just forget what it is called. Metal something or other. Patch the hole with this and just use touch up paint and you won't even notice the boo boo.

How about JB-Weld? That would work pretty good, it'd be solid for sure... lol

Bondo would do good too, but it might take longer to cure.

Use a rubber hole plug. They come in different sizes. They are used to plug holes in vehicles that have had antennas previously mounted in the roof or trunk. Any mobile two way radio dealer installer should carry them. Call your local police department or sheriff's office and ask who does there radio work for them... Then call.

I don't know how particular you are with the appearance of your detail work, but if you did anything listed in this string on my car - YOU WOULD DIE! Just kidding, if want a quick fix until it can be repaired properly, then use something that can be easily removed. Do not use JB-weld! It is permanent and will not seal. It will only make things worse. The hole plug combined with silicone sounds like a robust quick-fix. Then get it into a shop that can bondo/paint and fix it correctly. Don't be a hack!!! Good luck.

Get four of those gold curly-Q fake cell phone antennas and 3M-tape them over the holes.  That way your truck will look like a sweet, pimped-out secret service car.  :chevy:

Now that's a good idea... That be a pimp-ride for sure... :D

Actually, I like the sound of the rubber plug and silicone, it'd be easy for the body shop to clean up, and would do the trick.

A non silicone product and a plug would be good. if there is silicone on the body and the shop goes to do the repair, the paint will fisheye or not stick. try to find a non silicone product to help seal the plug.
