vtodd82 Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 my engine light has been flashing at me for about 4 days now. it happens at around 40-50 mph randomaly, and will flash for about 30 seconds to 1 minute then stops. i am very worried about this. i have gutted cats and no mufflers so its a extremely free flowing exhaust. iam thinking that maybe iam running too lean because of this exhaust setup. could this be possible. my other mods are a k and n cai, and a PCM4LESS tune(o2 sensors tuned out). the truck is a 2004 silverado ss. any help i would greatly appreciate(my normal site silverado ss is currently down, so i thought i would ask some other gm guys.) thanks.
Wingnut Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Not sure, but you can take it to just about any auto-parts store, and they'll check the code for you for free. At least you can around here.
GM-Tech Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 The light only flashes when a potential catalyst damaging misfire is occuring. Since you don't have cats, that's not a worry, but you do have a misfire.
