Bed Mat, not Bed Rug !

Recommended Posts

I've seen a number of posts about bed rugs, bed liners, and spray-in liners.  I would like to know if anyone here knows of a source for a work-grade bed MAT --  you know; thick, heavy rubber, contoured on the bottom to interlock into the corrugations of the bed, but fairly even surfaced on the up side.

I need to mount a piece of heavy equipment on a sliding rail in the bed of my soon-to-arrive truck, and the vibration absorbtion of a heavy mat will, I expect, be better than a plain rug or liner.

Any leads, or experience using something like that?

Thanks in advance

I don't know where you are, but we got one like you are describing at Farm and Fleet for about fifty bucks.  I'd think a store like this should have them in stock.  We wanted a mat that covered the bottom of the bed nice and flat, yet could quickly be rolled up to gain access to the fold over gooseneck ball underneath.

Central Tractor or Farm and Fleet like Jp said would be a good place to look...  There are plenty of solid rubber mats available and some shopping around will help you find the best one for your application...

I currently have a bed mat, from Penda.  I ordered it from Cabelas catalog and paid $59.99 plus tax and shipping.  Custom fit for my bed, thick heavy grade, no trimming required.  It's not contoured to fit the ribs of the bed, rather nubbed, but I wanted to let a little air in under there in case some water got trapped, I didn't want it to rust.
