OBS Crew Cab 1500

Recently I've noticed several OBS crew cab shortbed c/k1500 around town. I have seen both 5 and 6 lug wheels (2wd and 4x4 respectively) , and what was wondering what years they made these. I don't recall the 1500 series ever advertised as a crew cab, only the 2500, and 3500. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The only crew cab in a 1500 that I have seen were made by Southern Comfort. And they were made in 96 or 97. Hope this helps.

Centurion Conversions out of White Pigeon, MI converted many GMT400 half-ton trucks (88-98 body style) into crew cab short beds. This is the same company that converted many Ford Bronco’s into Ford quazi Suburban’s.

GM only made a handful of crewcab short bed ¾ ton GMT400 body style from 1998 to 2000. Of these, only a smaller handful were 1-ton duallies.

yeah i saw a centurion 1/2 ton conversion at the alignment shop a couple of months ago and did a double take when i saw it. after talking to the owner i got for info about it.

There is one here in town. A centurion. There is also a 2500 crew cab shortbed 2wd that someone put the 1/2ton 4x4 wheels on. Looks just like a 1/2 ton 4x4.
