With this many miles on the O2 sensors, is there any suggustions as to what to use to help get them out? How long should I let them sit after soaking them? Any suggustions to help this job go smoothly is greatly appreciated. Thanks. I will definitaly get the special socket.

With the slotted socket I had no problems taking mine out. I've had friends take em out with an open ended wrench with no problems as well.

I used an open ended wrench. I sprayed them heavily with a penatrating oil the night before and they came out fairly easily. A fair amount of force to crack them initially but then they came out easily. My new ones came with thread sealant on the threads and went in easily. I replaced mine around 90K cause they were getting lazy.

Best bet is to run the vehicle to warm everything up. Let it cool just enough that you can safely work around everything then take them out. You may need a long breaker bar but it should not be overly difficult. The key is to take them out when things are still quite warm.
